As I reflect upon the last day of February and the ongoing pandemic/lockdown I've learned more about myself during this time. I came to the notion of new discoveries within me that I didn't have before.
I started cooking and baking more from scratch. Pre-pandemic I used to cook very basic meals such as pasta or rice with a side of meat and vegetables on rotation. But these days, I've been trying out new recipes from various cookbooks and really expanding my interests.
I've started baking bread from scratch and I can't say that it's been a success but at least I tried. However, I've really enjoyed some of the home cooked meals that I've created.
On top of that, I've been writing in my journal more than ever. I wrote in my journal almost everyday since March 2020 and used it as my prayer journal to God. I was (and still am) documenting whatever I was going through, writing out my feelings and saying prayers for my loved ones too. It's therapeutic to me. It's my outlet of authenticity.
I've been reading more books and it wasn't an interest of mine when I was younger. I can't say that I'm a great writer but I have seen an improvement in my writing skills due to the amount of books I've read. I do see the correlation of reading and writing!
My next discovery is to listen to God's will and purpose for my life.
My Mom encouraged me to dream big and dream harder but to also pray harder. I have created new goals and dreams for myself and perhaps someday I will share it. After all, dreams do come true.
Until then, I will ask, seek and knock. (Matthew 7:7-8).
What are some discoveries that came to light in your life recently? I'd love to hear from you!
Love always,
Sisterberry & Co.
